Dear Mary Frances,
Haven’t we come a long way? I remember coming over to your house on Sunday nights to watch The Wonderful World of Disney in color. My Dad refused to shell out for a color tv until the quality got better. Remember the first color tv’s only had a blend of red, green, and blue, or something like that. The color was pretty bad, but it was color. Jon and I spent a lot of time together growing up, going to the beach together, playing sports, chasing girls, and joining the lifeguards. We really looked up to Frank as an older and strong role model. Jon introduced me to a lot of my friends at Fletcher. He came to see me once when I lived in Southern California and we went to Disneyworld together in Anaheim. He wore a Mickey Mouse cap and said he didn’t care if it looked silly, he always wanted to do it. This was before Disney world opened in Orlando.
I sat with you for a little while when you were in Hospice. I held your hand and prayed and we talked a little. Susan was there too. I hadn’t seen her since 1965. I enjoyed catching up with her too. I saw Mary Ann Joca at the last all Fletcher reunion. We talked about our lives and Steve. I was at Steve’s service in front of the lifeguard station and helped row his ashes out past the breakers. Mary Joca is still in the house on Seagate.
I just wanted to say hi, and that I am thinking of you. You are a dear sweet person, and I have always enjoyed your company. I hope you are feeling ok and happy with Mike and his wife. Tell them hi for me.You can catch up with me on Facebook, I know Jon is a member. I went to my Great Granddaughter’s first birthday party two weeks ago in Statesboro. There are some pictures on my Facebook page.

Love,David
